Independence Programs

Building Skills for Life Beyond Therapy

At Supported Behavior, we believe meaningful progress is about more than reducing challenging behaviors. It is about helping individuals develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to participate more fully in everyday life.

Our Independence Programs are designed for autistic adolescents and adults and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who may benefit from individualized support with daily living, employment, community participation, social relationships, and executive functioning.

Programs are individualized based on each person's abilities, preferences, environment, and personal goals. Services may take place in the home, community, workplace, or other natural environments where skills are needed most.

Individualized Support. Meaningful Goals. Real-Life Progress.

No two individuals have the same definition of independence. For one person, independence may mean preparing breakfast without assistance. For another, it may mean maintaining employment, managing a weekly schedule, navigating the community, developing friendships, or preparing to live more independently.

That's why our programs are not one-size-fits-all. We begin by identifying the individual's strengths, current needs, priorities, and personal goals. From there, we develop an individualized plan focused on skills that can make a meaningful difference in everyday life.

Services may incorporate principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), skill acquisition, caregiver collaboration, natural-environment teaching, and evidence-based behavior support.

Ready to Build Greater Independence? Whether you're preparing an adolescent for adulthood or helping an adult develop greater independence, Supported Behavior is here to help identify meaningful goals and create a practical path forward.
